The hoop is silver: clean, circular, the shape that has been at the ear since jewelry began. Oversized enough to make a statement, restrained enough to make it quietly.
On it, a single round bead slides freely, moving along the hoop's curve to wherever you place it, staying there until you decide otherwise. Centre bottom for symmetry. Off to one side for something less expected. It is, in the most understated way, a customisable earring: the same piece wearing differently depending on where the bead sits when you put it on that morning.
From the bead, three ghungroos hang below, adding the softest sound to the earring's already considerable presence. The bells do not move independently of each other here. They move with the bead, as a group, which gives them a different quality from a fringe: more deliberate, more contained, the sound of three things that have decided to stay together.
Minimalist in its elements. Impactful in its scale. The hoop that does more with less.
