Crafted in real silver.
The mandala begins at a point.
One centre, and then, outward, in every direction, with perfect symmetry, the pattern unfolds. Circle after circle, petal after petal, each element in precise relationship to the one before it. The mandala is not decoration. It is cosmology made visible: the universe as it actually is, organised around a single, certain middle.
This earring understands that from the inside out.
An elongated teardrop in 92.5 hallmark silver, its surface given entirely to filigree, that most patient of silversmithing techniques, where fine silver wire is twisted, coaxed, and pressed into pattern by hand, building a surface that is simultaneously intricate and weightless. At the centre of the teardrop, a mandala emerges from the filigree: concentric, symmetrical, radiating outward in the way all mandalas do: as if the pattern began at a single point of stillness and simply kept going until it reached the edges of what it was given.
The filigree follows. From the mandala's outermost ring, the wirework continues across the remaining surface of the teardrop as the natural continuation of the same radial energy. The mandala does not end where its pattern ends. It simply becomes less formal, more free, until it reaches the silver edge and holds.
And at the very base of the teardrop, where all that sacred geometry arrives at its final point — a single flower in filigree. The mandala's quiet conclusion. The reminder that every pattern, however cosmic in its ambition, ends somewhere in something that grows.
Hook fitting, so the teardrop moves gently, the mandala at the centre appearing to shift and breathe the way mandalas always seem to, as if they are not static but slowly, perpetually turning.
Featherlight. The filigree removes as much silver as it keeps — which is why it weighs almost nothing and holds almost everything.
The earring for the office desk and the evening after. For the Monday that needs one grounding thing. For the person who finds, in a good pattern, a particular kind of calm.
