There is a word in Urdu that does not translate cleanly. Muhabbat, it is love, yes, but not the love of a single moment or a grand gesture. It is the love that becomes habitual. That is present on the Tuesday morning and the quiet Sunday and the unremarkable Wednesday that becomes, years later, the day you remember most.

This haar was named for exactly that love. And it was made to be worn in its honour, not just at the wedding, not just for the occasion, but on all the days that come after, when love has stopped performing.

The Haar

At 21 inches, Muhabbat falls with the particular authority of a raani haar that knows where it belongs, not at the collarbone, not close to the throat, but deeper, lower, against the chest, where the heart actually is. The chain is 3 centimetres wide: substantial without heaviness, a presence felt before it is seen. Linked silver elements carry the haar's weight evenly, the way a good relationship carries its own, held together not by a single point but by the sum of many small connections.

At either end of the chain, where the silver meets the dori and the haar becomes a necklace, floral-geometric detailing marks the transition.

And then, at the centre, the pendant. Vintage silver, worked with heart motifs on all four sides. These hearts that wear their shape quietly, the way the people who love us most quietly do. At the bottom of the pendant, a floral motif completes the composition: the garden that grows at the base of every feeling worth keeping.

At the very heart of the pendant is a single diamond-shaped red glass stone. The red of roses kept past their season. 

Throughout the haar, ghungroos are spread across the full length, so that Muhabbat announces your arrival and accompanies your every gesture, all day, the way love at its best accompanies everything.
