TheΒ phoolon ki chaadar,Β or the blanket of flowers, is one of the most generous gestures in the Indian ceremonial imagination. Carried above the bride, laid over the beloved, offered at the dargah: it is always an act of covering someone in something beautiful. Of saying, without words, you are worth adorning.

This pendant carries that same impulse. Miniaturised.

At the centre, a crescent in blue glass, the colour of twilight. On either side of the crescent, a warm red glass dot. And at the very top, another red dot, the highest point of the composition, like the first flower placed before all the others follow. The kind of detail that rewards the person who looks closely enough to find it.

And then, the chaadar unfolds.

Multiple loops fan outward from the centre in every direction, each one linked by fine chains that catch and move independently, creating a fringe that behaves less like jewelry and more like something alive. Ghungroos gather among the loops, while geometric danglers punctuate the fringe with structure. The whole pendant fans and falls the way a chaadar fans when it is lifted into the air: outward, generous, filling the space around it.

From a distance, it reads as ornate maximalism; the kind of pendant that announces itself before you do. Up close, it reveals its references: the crescent, the dots, the loops that are not merely decorative but devotional in their origin. A piece that works on both levels simultaneously, which is the rarest thing a piece of jewelry can do.

There will not be another exactly like this. The loops, the glass, the crescent, this specific configuration existed once, in the hands of a Rajasthani artisan whose name we do not know, and exists now as this pendant.

Expect natural patina, tonal variations, and subtle imperfections β€” markers of age, authenticity, and handcrafted beauty.
